At Pui Tak Christian School, volunteers are not an “extra.” You are part of the story.
For more than seven decades, faithful partners have given their time, skills, and hearts to help our school thrive.
What began in Chinatown has grown into a vibrant community of supporters that now includes college students, families, retirees, church groups, and community organizations from across Chicago.
No matter your background, profession, or season of life—if you have a heart for children, there is a place for you here.
When you volunteer at PTCS, you’re mentoring a future leader. Encouraging a struggling learner. Supporting a teacher. Strengthening a family. You are helping cultivate both academic excellence and Christ-centered character.
During the School Year
(September – June)

Classroom Assistant (8:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Support teachers, work with small groups, and encourage students throughout the day.

Afterschool Program (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM)

Tutor, mentor, lead activities, assist with homework, or simply play and build meaningful relationships with students.

Administrative Support (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Help behind the scenes with organizing, office work, and special projects that strengthen our school operations.

Project Nehemiah - school expansion, capital campaign

Holiday Seasons
(December, January, and March)
3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
During college school breaks, many of our regular college volunteers are away, so the need is especially great. If you’re on winter or spring break, visiting family, or looking to serve during the holidays, consider giving your season deeper meaning by serving our students.
