I became familiar with PTCS through my work with Bright Promise, a nonprofit expanding access to Christ-centered education in the metro Chicago area. I was drawn to PTCS for its academic rigor and its Christ-centered approach to discipline, which emphasizes grace and fosters both personal and spiritual growth. I am grateful to serve in a community where God’s grace is foundational. What do you enjoy most about working at PTCS? I enjoy witnessing the students’ enthusiasm each day. From their excitement coming to school in the morning to the joy and laughter as students transition from class to class. Their love of being here is energizing and inspiring. What are your favorite moments on staff? I value spontaneous conversations with colleagues throughout the day. Despite our varied roles, we share a common commitment to supporting one another and positively impacting our students.

Elementary School Kindergarten -4th Grade Our Lower Elementary curriculum not only adheres to Illinois standard of common core but aim to provide training well above and beyond State standards and requirements. We utilize a variety of well-established curriculum such as Pearon's enVisionMath, Scholastic's history and social studies, and the FOSS modular science system along with specifically tailored Language Arts, Mandarin Chinese, Fine Arts, Computer, and Physical Education curriculum. Our goal is to acquaint students with a well-selected body of conventional knowledge and to develop a wholesome attitude towards learning. Through our curriculum, we aim to prepare lower Elementary students to evolve from an individual to a cooperative member of society while helping them acquire skills needed to grow from basic to formal learning in their Upper Elementary years and more. Middle School Staff Rachael Molenda 5th-6th Grade Homeroom; 5th-8th Grade Language Arts Degrees: E nglish, BA & Education in Literacy, MA Hometown: Chicago, IL Family: My family is very special to me. My parents are loving and encouraging. My two sisters are so fun and helpful. And my niece and nephew always make me smile. Why did you come to work at PTCS? A friend of mine told me about this wonderful school and I was eager to learn more about it. This will be my first year at PTCS and I'm excited to meet the community and see what adventures God has in store for us this school year. What do you enjoy most about teaching? I love seeing others grow and feel encouraged. Every person has so many wonderful gifts and talents. It's really special to see those gifts blossom! What are your favorite moments with students? I love getting to know my students and experience them learning about themselves, each other, our world, and Jesus.

Board Member Dr. Aaron Rucker Dr. Rucker has been a public school principal since 2013. He has over 20 years of experience in education (elementary, special education, alternative programs, secondary, college, and administration). Dr. Rucker is passionate about education and has completed a PhD. in Education from Seton Hall University (New Jersey). As a former parent of Pui Tak Christian School, Dr. Rucker knows the PTCS culture very well and is committed to the PTCS community.
