PRESCHOOL APPLICATION K - 8TH GRADE APPLICATION Step Two: Preschool We accept preschool applications at any time throughout the year. Your child must be three years old by September 1st of the desired school year. Following the submission of your application, PTCS office staff will contact you by phone to schedule an educational consultation. If your application is submitted by November 1st, your child will take part in a group assessment in early December. In November, the office staff will contact you to schedule an appointment for the assessment. On the day of the assessment, parents are required to pay a $60 assessment fee. If your application is submitted after November 1st, your child will have a one-on-one consultation with the principal. On the day of the consult, parents are required to pay a $60 non-refundable consultation fee. Elementary & Middle School We accept kindergarten, elementary, and middle school applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Following the submission of your application, PTCS office staff will contact you by phone to schedule an educational consultation. In that meeting, the principal or vice principal will get to know your family and do an assessment of your child to determine grade-level placement. It is advised that both the student and parent/s are present during this meeting. Educational consultations require a non-refundable $60 fee, due on your child’s consult day. Step Three: After the meeting, applicants will receive an acceptance letter with enrollment forms via email, or an alternative recommendation for the child's educational path. Currently our school is split between two buildings, separated by a public courtyard, posing serious concerns regarding student safety. Our new campus will change all of this. What is the teacher-to-student ratio? We maintain a 1:8 ratio, with a maximum of 16 students per classroom. What qualifications do teachers have? Our lead teachers hold Early Childhood Education degrees, are State-certified, and receive specialized training in toddler development, guidance, and safety. What does a typical day look like for my child? Each day includes a balance of play, learning, meals, rest, and movement in a predictable routine How do you handle diapering and hygiene? We follow strict hygiene protocols aligned with CDC and DCFS guidelines, including handwashing and sanitation procedures. How do you ensure my child’s safety throughout the day?
