Fire Safety Awareness Week meant a field trip to the fire station in Chinatown for our preschool and junior kindergarten students! Each class walked down the street to our local fire department and learned a lot about what the fireman they always read in their story books really do!
All of our students got to learn the difference between a fire truck which is set apart with the ladder on the top while the other fire vehicle carries water. They got to climb through a fire truck, and some of them even got to hose down a cone, or a "house on fire", while others helped them pump their water cans!
Each class also had thank you cards they drew for our local to say a big thank you to all their hard work!
