Hometown: Kansas City, MO

Family: I come from a very big, diverse family that I love very much. I am the third of 8 children, and all of my siblings are adopted internationally. My younger siblings are adopted from China and my older siblings from Ukraine. My oldest sibling is 24 and the youngest is going into 5th grade this year. I have one niece and hopefully more nieces and nephews soon to come

Why did you come to teach at PTCS?

I went to school in Chicago and have grown to love the city over the last several years being here. Additionally, being a part of my unique family has given me a love for other cultures and experiences. PTCS is a great combination of those two interests, along with being a center for Christian education, which is also very important to me.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

My favorite aspect of teaching is the opportunity to develop positive relationships with students. I love the experience of seeing a student grow and overcome challenges throughout the year. Also, I enjoy the fun things that I get to learn alongside the students as I teach.

What are your favorite moments with students?

My favorite moments with students are seeing them become excited about something that they learn, chatting with them about things they love to do, and helping them to understand a concept they have been struggling through.
