By the end of the grade level, students will:
- Model and write number sentences using addition and subtraction facts to 18.
- Compare and order whole numbers to 100.
- Read, write, and recognize numbers through 999.
- Use a problem solving model to identify math in everyday situations.
- Use appropriate language to describe fractional parts of whole objects up to one-fourth.
- Recognize pattern in numbers and operations including odd and even, skip counting and fact families (5, 10, 25, etc.).
- Use attributes to identify, compare, and contrast shapes and solids using informal language and concrete models.
- Recognize and describe the attributes of shapes and solids.
- Identify and count a collection of coins less than a dollar.
- Recognize and use calendar (days, months, and year).
- Estimate, measure, and compare length, weight, capacity, time and temperature.
- Add and subtract 2 digits numbers (carrying and borrowing).
- Identify number groupings.
- Collect and display data using information, draw conclusions, answer questions and make predictions.
- Justify their answers.
- Communicate mathematically.
