Educational Philosophy
“To educate a child in mind and not in moral is to educate a menace to society.”
Theodore Roosevelt, Former President of the United States
In society today, institutions of learning often strive to educate the mind in an environment devoid of values.
This is accomplished by attempting to keep faith and associated beliefs outside of the classroom or school.
The result has been a society that often appears empty of values and amoral youth who are largely unchurched.
The purpose of Pui Tak Christian School is to give today’s children a reason for their existence through understanding God’s plan for their lives.
This is accomplished in two ways:
-
By studying the Bible and helping students to personally apply the Bible’s principles and teachings to their lives, students learn characteristics such as honesty, patience, kindness, and self control.
-
By integrating excellent academic training with the study of the Bible, students realize that the world is God’s gift to us and learn to appreciate it as they study language arts, science, history, math, physical education, music, and other subjects.
God made us as whole beings. Each of us has physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. In order to develop to our fullest potential, we need to be trained in all of these areas. Pui Tak Christian School is a school that seeks to educate the whole child and meet their needs as human beings.
